Film recommendations
I’m all about a Christmas movie release, and this year, I’m leaning towards Nosferatu. It’s a unique holiday vibe for me!
I’m also checking off films I’ve been meaning to watch but just haven’t had the time for, plus revisiting some of my old favorites. Black Orpheus has been calling me lately. Brazil is my favorite country, and though it’s been too long since I’ve visited, this film is a visual delight that takes me back to its vibrant landscapes.
Classic but true: there’s nothing quite like getting cozy in bed and bingeing Harry Potter—it’s the perfect holiday tradition for me.
Literary recommendations
Right now, I’m reading All Fours by Miranda July. It’s a page-turner that really makes me reflect on my own complexities as a woman. I try to pick it up whenever I have a quiet moment, and I can’t put it down.
The Artist’s Way is always a great pick, even if I’m just using it as a refresher. It’s grounding and helps me foster better creative habits.
I’ve also been diving into Journey of Awakening by Ram Dass. Though it’s an older work, it’s been a source of much-needed spiritual insight.
Hosting tips: Floral arrangements
Keep it simple when hosting. You don’t want a floral arrangement that’s too fragrant and distracts from your meal. I love the look of single-variety arrangements—whether it’s one stunning vase filled with Cala Lilies or a collection of bud vases. They always add a touch of elegance.
Adding food elements to the decor can be chic too. This year, I’ve been playing with grapes, green beans, peppers, and other elements from the kitchen. It’s an unexpected yet stylish twist!
