PACKAGING FOR BRAUN T2 LIGHTER
by Dieter Rams (1960s)

"Dieter Rams helmed design at Braun from 1961 to 1997, overseeing everything from product design to branding and packaging. This packaging for Braun's T2 Lighter has always stood out to me. With a single image only, it very clearly communicates the use of the product inside."

FLOWER POT TABLE
by Jasper Morrison (1984)

"Many of Jasper Morrison's earliest works were pieces of furniture created from found objects. With the Flower Pot Table, he sees a stack of flower pots in a hardware store window and decides to recreate the stack as a table. Years later, the table is produced by Capellini with a single terracotta moulding to appear as a stack of flower pots. I'm drawn to the idea that the silhouette of the flower pot stack is beautiful enough to use as a tablebase, even when produced later as a single piece without its original functionality."

by Gino Sarfatti (1971)

"Simply a beautiful lamp."

SAND INCENSE BOWL
by Benjamin Edgar (2016)

"It's interesting to see something like incense and incense accessories, something I've always associated with religious worship or bohemian subcultures, contextualized as a minimal object. The sand has two functions: to hold the incense up while burning while also providing a place for the ash to land."
